If I make a podcast public who can see it and how?
If you mark a podcast as public then only the users that you supply your ‘Share your portal’ web link to will be able to see that podcast. The user would need to enter that web link into a web browser in order to see the podcast.

What do I do with the code to embed my podcast into a website?
If you wish to add a particular podcast to your own website, rather than using the Podium Portal then you can copy the embed code into a section of your website and have the podcast appear and play in the same way it would in the Podium Portal.

How do I subscribe to a podcast?
First of all, you need to click the ‘Subscribe’ button on the required podcast in the Podium Portal, then select the entire RSS feed and click copy from the right click menu.
Once the RSS feed has been copied it can be pasted into an application to retrieve podcasts (called an aggregator). A popular application for subscribing to podcasts is iTunes, where you can enter the RSS feed into the ‘Advanced > Subscribe to podcast’ section, which will download the podcast and any future episodes created under that podcast.
Alternatively you use any podcast aggregator of your choice.

What happens to my existing podcasts if I switch from the previous hosting you provided to this new service?
Nothing, as the podcasts are still hosted in the same place they will remain whether you use the Podium Portal or not.

What happens to my existing podcasts if I DON’T switch from the previous hosting you provided to this new service?
If you don't take out our new paid for hosting service after your free trial period expires then you will no longer be able to log onto the portal to access/manage your podcasts. We also reserve the right to delete your podcasts 3 months after the expiry date. If you would like a copy of your podcasts after your subscription expires, please contact Support who will be able to arrange to send you the files.

What platforms / browsers does the portal work with?
The Podium Portal will function on all major browsers that support flash player 9.0.124 at a minimum.

How much hosting capacity to I get?
At the present time the hosting capacity available to you is unlimited but we reserve the right to change this at any time.

Can I search for podcasts?
At the present time you cannot search for podcasts in the Podium Portal but it maybe functionality that we will add at a later date.
